During 2019 we undertook a major refurbishment of an existing Grade II public house which had been empty for some time and was severely dilapidated. The owner worked closely with our in-house team to completely extend the restaurant area and entirely refurbish the property inclusive of two self- contained flats, the garden and car park areas. The extension to the restaurant comprised of a large green Oak framed double glazed area which hugely compliments the main original building. The project included working closely with the Architect, the local Heritage/ Conservation team from the local authority and an Archaeologist to ensure all requirements for working on a listed building were adhered to. The owner was clear from the outset that he wished the completed project to be of a very high standard which is possibly why the build took almost 12 months to complete. It opened in October 2019 and from our initial feedback the Management and staff love the finished project and the community of Doynton are delighted to have their local pub back in good order and full of spirit.
