Drainage & Groundworks
Client: JLES Exeter
Site: Earl Richards Road, Exeter
This project involved carrying out various drainage remedial works as detailed in the tender document produced by our client and the local water authority to allow for adoption of the sewers to release any finical bond overrun charges on the development scheme. It comprised of the following range of work;
Supply and install new inspection chambers at point of deviation or diameter change within residents’ gardens, grass verge, footway, or carriageway.
Excavate by manual and mechanical means to replace defective sections of foul sewer with new as highlighted by the CCTV survey inspections within residents’ gardens, grass verge, footway, or carriageway.
High-pressure water jetting of all lines to clear scale and grease build-up as per reports.
Submit CCTV survey footage of all repairs and cleaning works to the client for approval of local water authority.
Reinstatement works to all surfaces to include, grass, brick paving, stone boarders, paving slabs, concrete and tarmac surfaces.
All works carried out to the local water and council authority adoption standards.
The project was challenging due to the close proximity of all the residents’ houses and tight roads around the development. All works went according to plan, on time, budget and without any complaints from residents.
