We have long established relationships with our specialist sub-contractors and we continually monitor their performance and competitiveness.
We are always on hand to attend to our clients every request and will endeavour to overcome any tasks that arise both quickly and efficiently with the minimum amount of fuss.
Jim Kelly - Managing Director
Our Managing Director Jim has worked in the building industry for more than 50 years having come from an Electrical Engineering background. Since expansion within the team over the years has brought managers in to the different departments, these days Jim can be found being actively involved in assisting the infrastructure of the business and supporting the managers in their various department roles, always enjoying the challenge of a complicated job and being at the heart of CVC.
Jodi Manning - Corporate Director
Celebrating over 25yrs at CVC, Jodi oversees the day to day running of the company, dealing with specialised needs of our esteemed client base, overseeing our department managers, office staff and the workforce. She is involved with the reporting and analysing of our bespoke computer systems and maintains our numerous accreditations to ensure our workforce are always trained at the highest level and fully compliant to enable us to deliver the service that we aspire to.
Tony Screen - Senior Operations Manager
Building Fabric Division
Tony joined us more than ten years ago as our Senior Operations Manager with over 20 years’ experience in the building and Fabric Maintenance industry and works closely with Darren Spiller and Alan Gardiner in what has become a very busy and demanding department. His responsibilities include managing our existing operatives and our specialist subcontractors on a wide range of quoted, reactive and PPM works also preparing fixed price quotations for necessary remedial works/repairs and preparing tenders for large scale projects. Tony is also well known within CVC for being the instigator and chief organiser of our social evenings which are enjoyed by all (team building!).
Darren Spiller - Operations Manager
Building Fabric & Electrical Division
With over 25 years experience of Facilities Management, Compliance and Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, Darren is focused on building strong working relationships with both existing and new customers and providing fully comprehensive building services maintenance solutions as well as preparing fixed price quotes for extra works and projects together with quality management of our own teams and specialist contractors. Since joining us Darren has also progressed into looking after building fabric works alongside the electrical part of the company.
Rob Chaffey - Operations Manager
Drainage & Groundworks Division
Rob is a highly accomplished Operations Manager with 30 years management and hands on experience in the drainage and groundworks industry. At CVC Rob heads up our busy Drainage & Groundworks Division with the support of his site supervisor Nathan Wotton. Rob’s experience encompasses all types of drainage, groundworks and reinstatement. His responsibilities include preparing reports on findings from CCTV survey inspections, fixed price quotations for necessary remedial works and preparing tenders for large scale projects. Rob also develops new business opportunities for not only our Drainage and Groundworks Division but for Chew Valley Construction Ltd as a whole.
Anna Sims - ACMA, CGMA - Financial Controller
Anna is a Chartered Management Accountant and qualified with CIMA in 2011. She has more than 25 years’ accounting experience working with SMEs and her position is responsible for our accounts department looking after all aspects of our company’s financial affairs. Alongside numbers, Anna has a keen interest in Wellbeing and as such has introduced several Wellbeing initiatives over the last few years with the full support of CVC.
Richard Price - GradIOSH DipNEBOSH In-House Compliance Officer
Richard is a qualified auditor of ISO 9001 Quality Management, OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety and ISO14001 Environmental Management. He is licensed to deliver the IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely training courses, amongst others. His role working with us includes overseeing every aspect of Health & Safety and Compliance for all our planned and reactive works and providing the many in-house compliance services to our customers that we can offer.
