Client: All Saints Church, Clifton, Bristol
The project comprised of the introduction of ramped and stepped access to the tower entrance, new paving and surface water drainage to forecourt, new external notice boards, glass balustrades, uplighters from new paving in front of tower and minor localised repointing to church plinth.
Overall, the concrete paving slabs to the forecourt were in poor condition and many need to be replaced. Access into the church via the tower entrance was via 2no. steps with a temporary metal ramp giving access to ambient users when required. Immediately in front of the West porch there is a large area of concrete paving slabs. Many of these slabs were broken and damaged.
This project comprised of the following range of work:
Removal of all existing concrete paving slabs to the forecourt of the tower entrance.
Laying of new stone paving with drainage falls and associated surface water drainage to new soakaways.
Constructing ramped and stepped access to church tower entrance with associated frameless glass balustrades.
Insertion of new floor up lights to light the underside of the tower arch entrance.
Minor localised re-pointing and mortar repairs to tower plinth
All works completed in timescale and on budget.
